Well, Thought I would put this blog spot to use. I started this journey back in 2005 when I was at my highes weight 487lbs. I worked hard and was able to loose 125lbs on my own. I wieghed 362lbs in 2007 and was STUCK! For a year i couldn't get my weight loss going again. In the spring of 2007 I went to a WLS seminar and learned a lot about the different surgeries. I began to pray about taking the step to having the lap band. However, come fall I found out i was pregnant with my one and only gorgeous lil boy. All things were put on hold.

At the beginning of 2009 I was back up to 386 and new that I needed to do something but our insurance didn't cover the proceudure. however, in 2010 my husband switched jobs and we found out that his insurance would cover the procedure 100%. In March I went to another seminar and started the process weighing 402.8lbs. The insurance had a 6mo wait period where I had to have documentation of weight loss attempts. I saw a therapist, nutritionist, and was followed by a physician.
The week before surgery I weighed in at 391lbs and I had my Lap Band procedure on 10-11-10.

It took a while for this prayer to be answered but in God's timing it was answered and I am now on this new and exciting journey. Had my first visit after surgery and I now weigh 371lbs! To God be the glory!
