Back to the real world of dieting, weight watchers!

Feb 15, 2012

I had been logging my food into my fitness pal, but I was gaining anyway, some days were good, some were bad.  I found myself getting a lot of protein in my diet by shakes and bars and then I was still eating meals.  I would eat a lot at meals so I wouldnt eat snacks.  Anyway, it wasnt working.  So, 3 weeks ago I went merrily off to a WW meeting.  This is my 3rd week on program and I am down 2.3 lbs, which makes me very happy.  My belt is looser and I am feeling better.  The trick is to stay on top of my protein anyway to make sure I am getting enough in with one protein coffee and my food, which I would say is what I should be doing at 2 years out anyway.
Funny, I was one who thought with my surgery, I would just have this teeny pouch and that I wouldnt want carbs or need to diet again. The real skinny on being skinny is that it is hard work!  Of course, I knew that from day one after my surgery when the grehlin was still there and I woke up starving.  My weight loss with my surgery was 2 lbs a week, just like WW!
My surgeon decided that I needed to step up my excercise and do the treadmill an hour a day, I am up to 45 mins so far.
It's all good!
