The night before surgery

Jan 08, 2010

I remember posting the evening before surgery.  I was so afraid, so anxious.  As I posted, these things came to mind.
   1.  I had done my research.  I knew this was the surgery for me.  I KNEW that I was not going to back out.
   2.  I was very comfortable with my surgeon's ability.  There was no question in my mind that he knows what he's doing, and that he is good at it.
   3.  Since (1) I wasn't backing out and (2) I trusted my surgeon, once I got into the operating room, I was totally under God's control.  At that point, I was filled with peace.  God didn't let me down.  The surgery went fine, no complications whatsoever.

Good luck.  Trust yourself that you've done your research and are comfortable with your decision.  Trust your doctor, because if you don't trust your doctor, you should probably be looking for another physician.  And, trust your higher power to bring you through this.
