What do you say when you receive negative feedback from friends? Even when they know your struggle with weight loss and co-morbidities?

I recently completed by consultation with the surgeon, nutritionist and social worker. I have to wait 7-10 business days to learn if I was accepted into the program. Has anyone every been declined?
