Surgeon TestimonialLaurence K. Tanaka M.D.I saw Dr T at the Pac Bar seminar that you're required to attend, he actually spoke at it. Then, I just met him last week when I had all my doctors appts. He seems very serious, and that's cool, I wouldn't want some goof ball opening me up! I've heard from his patients that he warms up over time, I honestly don't care about that, I just want him to be a good, competent surgeon, and thats what I hear from all his patients. His staff is very nice, and so far, no complaints about them.

3 months post op visit on February 6, 2008 6:59 pm
I had my 3 month post op visit with Dr T today..went very well...I'm down a total of 85#s since I began this whole thing and a total of 58#s since surgery on 10/1/07. He was very pleased with everything, which makes me happy. Tomorrow is my 51st birthday, I love that no one ever believes me..lol Lately I've been a little melancholy around my birthday, since my Mom passed away Oct of 2006. When I was a kid, I loved having her tell the story of the morning I was born and how it was so foggy in Long Beach and I was almost born on the traffic circle and all of a sudden he fog lifted and Dad found his way up the hill to Seaside, which is now Long Beach Memorial...love you Mom and I miss you. xo

And the beat goes on... on February 1, 2008 7:33 pm
So, I'm down 82 pounds...wow, I'm still amazed, this is the largest weight loss I've had in a very long time. I was kinda freaked out at around 50#s or so. That was usually where I'd lose interest. I figured out that was the point where people were noticing the loss and I started getting compliments. Then I'd start "allowing" myself treats and before I knew it, all my work was gone...ay yi yi. Anyhow, I'm doing good, but have noticed that the weight isn't just falling off like it had been. I know I need to kick up the exercise, so Tim and I are going to join a gym, as we get a great discount thru work. So, good! I interviewed for a new position in I/S today...we shall see... I'm definitely leaving this one up to God...Thy will be done...Amen!

It dawned on me that I haven't posted here in a while. I tend to post more on the CA site. Anyhoo, everything is going really well. Went back to work and everyone was very excited to see me and very supportive of the new look...so far, since June when all this started, I've lost 62 pounds. I can finally get into the jeans and black pants that I used to not be able to fit into, which is the reason I started down this road! It's been truly easy, thanks Dr T!
