I was ashamed of myself and it took everything I had to fake my confidence that I showed on the outside. I was always a strong woman with a fun and top notch personality and it was hard to maintain when being that overweight.

My Story

Well, Here I am... I have set a goal and made the decision to commit to the lap-band. I have been overweight since I was 14. I have been progressively getting heavier throughout the years. The year and half before my wedding (a little over two years ago) I seriously and hard core dieted and exercised while taking prescription diet pills three times a day.

 

With that being said I was able to only get down to 170. After the wedding I discontinued the use of the phentermine/adapex due to the mood altering and negative effects it had on my health. Instantly the pounds started packing back on even with my continued exercising. 

So now I am my heaviest at 250 and just turned 30. I keep all my insecurities inside and don’t show how ashamed I am of myself. I have just let my husband in on how it is affecting me and my daily life.

I am using my sister as my own "guinea pig" as she had the lap band years ago and looks fantastic and is doing fantastic.

So here I am...30...FAT... and ready to make a change and finally be happy and not have to fake all my confidence. :)

Oh and Insurance has denied coverage so, here I am fixin' to pay 10K for this change. UGH... looks like I will not be getting that new car after all... oh well... skinny feels better than any driving a shiny new convertible!
