220 lbs!
Aug 29, 2011
That’s right – 220 lbs this morning! That means I have lost 122.5 lbs so far!
My BMI is down from 56.8 to 36.6!
I feel great! I will do my measurements later today, too.
Today I have my follow up visit with my family doctor to discuss my blood pressure. I have not been monitoring it as much as I should have over the past 6wks but I have some data to show him. This morning it was 133/79 – I think I should be able to continue to go without any blood pressure medication – we will see if he agrees with me or not! LOL
I have not been out walking as much as I usually do lately either. There’s been a lot going on & my periods have been SO bad lately that I don’t want to leave the house. It’s a good thing I work from home! They have been lasting for approx 2wks & then for the next 2wks I have some spotting. Enough! I’m going to ask to be referred for a hysterectomy today. Being the only female in my family with a uterus left due to complications – I don’t want to continue to go through all this crap – they can take it out!
Since the surgery, my periods have been getting progressively worse each month & this month’s has been the worst so far! Tim wanted to take me to the hospital because it was so heavy, but I said no. They would just tell me to suck it up & take something for the pain. Not like they would give me a hysterectomy right then & there (that would be awesome, but not going to happen). Oh well.
I also got new glasses over this past weekend! I have been wearing the same ones for over 6yrs (got new lenses over 4yrs ago). They look good & I can see now but they are killing the bridge of my nose! It feels bruised! I guess I will just have to get used to it. I noticed that I have to sit further away from my computer now or the screen is a little blurry. The optometrist “suggested” I look at getting progressive lenses (a nice way of saying bi-focals) but I said not yet! LOL He said they are not bad enough but it might be something I would want to get used to now. Umm….no – maybe next time! Geesh!
I mentioned the vitamin A deficiency that my NUT said to tell him about & he practically laughed! He said that he has never heard of anyone in this country having vitamin A so low that it caused any issues with their sight. In a 3rd world country – yes, but not here. LOL He said even if it did cause a problem with my sight, the only thing he would do is recommend I take supplements (which I’m already doing). So, I will continue to take then & see how it is for my next visit
