Working Out is Working!!!

Sep 13, 2010

Imagine that!  I joined Gold's Gym a couple of months before my surgery.  I was going pretty regular up until about a week before surgery and had only been a few times since surgery.  It was hard in the 6-8 weeks after surgery because I had ZERO energy.  Then my energy started to come back.  I am now 4 1/2 months out of surgery and feel great.  I have more energy and I started going back to the gym about 3 weeks ago.  I don't know why it took me so long!  I have a friend who had the Sleeve done 10 days before I had my bypass.  She challenged me to a 30 day work out challenge.  We meet each other at the gym on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.  If we absolutely have to miss then we have to make it up on one of the other days.  We help keep each other motivated and my weight seems to be coming off pretty steady.  (or it might just be that I am busier with working out and the scales aren't on my mind as much so it makes it feel like its coming off steadier...LOL)  On top of all that, it makes me feel good.  It makes me feel productive and active and it makes me feel like I'm living again!  I would highly recommend it!!!  LOLOL
