Sleeve Gastrectomy Personal Appeal Denial 12/15/09 rec'd

The insurance company continues to deny the sleeve gastrectomy on the grounds it is " E & I".  The one point where we all agree  is that I need surgery, we just don't yet agree on which one.  I hope to meet with Dr. Yadegar soon to discuss what is next. The insurance will support the "RNY" or either the Lap BAnd or Realize Band...just not the sleeve.  I have been reading the forums here about all 3 of those procedures to get a feel for what others have experienced.  Meanwhile, I have enjoyed the 2009 Christmas & New Year's season with our son & his wife, who are visiting from Rhode Island.  That has definitely lifted my spirits!
