Catch-Up

Aug 22, 2009

Just wanted to touch base with everyone. All is well here.     I couldn't have surgery when I wanted, but is really was for the best to wait. I am still having the surgery- probably not until February of 2010. That is OK.  My sweet baby Sarah is finally weaned, I didn't want to stop nursing her earl., We had some close family friends going through an incredibly difficult time. I felt I needed to support them, they have always done so much for us, and we could never do anything back. We have been able to help them some, mostly just bringing dinner or talking. It really wasn't much, but I think it helped. Our Suburban needed to be replaced, so we spent all of our surgery money on that. We were able to find a really great deal on a used Suburban on Ebay, and were able to buy it outright. This was great! I feel like we are just about all set for the surgery now. Sarah was just too little before, she is 14 months old now, and by February she will be 20 months old ( I hope my math was correct)     Our toddler made three, so that is better as well. I was so worried that Sarah wouldn't recognize me as I lost weight, and would be upset, thinking her mommy had left. That was crazy!! I must have been having some kind of hormone problem!!    I switched the kids from Abeka, which was very mom-intensive to Switched on Schoolhouse, which is great!!! It will allow me to have surgery without their schooling being interrupted. And itis an awesome curriculum; not to mention the boys LOVE it!!! I truly feel everything is lining up for the surgery. It was so nice to watch my friends transformations. Even though I haven't posted in a while, I faithfully watched the wonderful people on my friends list!! All of you are such an encouragement!!!   Hugs to everyone, Wendy
