Hi Amanda! I have been keeping up with you for months. You have really inspired me, and I wanted to thank you for writing so candidly. I actually created an account just to keep up with your progress a little better. I’ll be getting my DS on June 13th, and because of your AWSOME journal, I know what to expect a little better…thanks girl!

hey there amanda! it's just about time for your re-birthday!!! i just wanted to drop in and tell you that you are in my prayers. my ds surgery was in feb 05 and i feel SO MUCH BETTER!!! i just can't thank the Lord and my surgeon enough for helping me free my self from this terrible disease. the only question i have for my self....why didn't i do this 10 years ago! may God bless you sweetie. congratulations! big hugs, piper

It is an interesting experience and certainly not "the easy way out" of being unhealthy and obese but each day will get a little better and be further proof that you dared to dream and had the courage to act.
