Hi Chris, I'd say don't be nervous but, heck, I was nervous! Of course it was for nothing (except I burned a few extra calories) because my surgery went just fine. I was sore mostly but, frankly my back hurt more than my incision... Anyway, remember to keep it positive. This means only positive people around you because, before surgery, it's hard not to be very sensitive to what people say. Negative people just don't have the facts. You will do great! I hope all your health and weight-loss dreams come true,

Chris, Congratulations and best wishes for a smooth and speedy recovery! Don't forget to take a pillow and/or a Bari Buddy (available at the OH.com store) with you to the hospital, you won't be sorry that you did! You need the pillow for all kinds of comforts from coughing to side support and frankly sometimes the hospital pillows just aren't really great. Also, you might inquire with the hospital about whether a fan will be available to you, if not and permitted, you might take one with you. The combination of the narcotics and the leg cuffs they use to prevent clots makes many people very very hot! bright blessings to you in this part of the journey and much success too!~Caroline O.--
