Hi Shere, Congratulations on making it home, sounds like you had more of a surgical ordeal than I did, but we are both alive and kicking, sippin' and sippin'. I actually visited my buddies at the office today, back to driving as usual, ain't life grand? Take care.

ANGEL UPDATE!!! I spoke to Shere for an hour tongiht...she is doing just great. She sounds good, is up walking, is enjoying her broth and jello, is fussing at the nurses, and is going home tomorrow!!! She is asking a question I can't answer, and I hoped maybe some of you wonderful post-ops could help. She is wondering how long it takes to get the staples out, I did not have staples at all so I couldn't tell her!! Please e-mail her at [email protected], she is wanting to know!!! Shere, you are doing so great and are such a delight...

Post-op angel update: Ben P. and I drove out to see Shere today, and all I can tell you is, I DID NOT LOOK THAT GOOD MY SECOND DAY AFTER SURGERY!!! She was happy to see us, smiling some, fussing with her hair, making a few smarty-pants comments, and basically is doing great for 24 hours out of surgery. Her wonderful surgeon discovered a hernia from one of her previous surgeries and repaired it at the same time. This did extend her surgery time quite a bit, so she will probably be in the hospital until Saturday. She did say that she is pretty uncomfortable, between the catheter and the lousy bed and the incision pain and the wooziness from the morphine, but she has a great attitude and is hanging in there tough as can be. SHERE - THE HARD PART IS OVER GIRL, IT IS ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE!!! Love you ladyfriend...
