08/08/01. Hope this letter finds you doing well. I pray that your recovery will be good. I had a better than expected surgery and came home on Sunday. I go get my staples out on Friday. So far so good. I hope the same for you.

****Angel Report!**** Nancy sounded so good today when I spoke to her. Her first night wasn't thrilling, but she said she's feeling much better. Pray for her and her family! That tropical storm "Barry" is headed to New Orleans and she will likely be headed home to Baton Rouge as it approaches! Thanks for your prayers!

***Angel Update*** I spoke to Nancy this afternoon and she is in her room and seems to be doing fine, but groggy of course. She'll be alone tonight and asked that we pray that the nurses will respond quickly. So happy for her that she is finally crossing over...She has had such a great attitude and this is such healing!! Bye!

I am the incredibly blessed angel for Nancy Cockerham who happens to be my best friend for 18 years! She has surgery this morning and I ask you all to pray with me that she will be covered with the Blood of Jesus and the surgeon's hands will be His Hands in bringing this wonderful healing into Nancy's life. Over the years we have cried together, prayed together and hurt together over the pain of morbid obesity, and now we both have a journey beginning as dear friends that will be so enriching and exciting as we discover the freedom we've both longed for! She is truly a precious person and I pray the Lord will guide her every step on her new journey through this WLS...Love you Nan! Please lift her up for safety and no complications! Love, Colleen

Nancy~I wish you the best with your surgery this week.13 weeks and over 55 lbs later I can definately say this is the greatest thing I have ever done for myself.Keep us posted on your progress. God Bless~Kim
