Sarah, I hope you have a successful surgery and a quick recovery. I am waiting for approval so I can only imagine how happy/excited/scared you are. I think you're in good hands with Dr. Bolar.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and your new lifetime journey on the losing side. Right now you are probably on a rollercoaster emotionally - excited, nervous, scared.... This is normal - don't let it freak you out. Take the time over the next few days and 'center' yourself mentally - focus your mind on other things and keep yourself physically busy too. You will find that your big day will be here in no time and you will be calm and ready for it. We will be here ready to welcome you over to the losing side and support you in your journey. Good luck and hope everything goes well for you. Sarah G LapRNY 6/22/04 295/274/150

Sarah, Don't let anyone talk you out of doing something for yourself! I had all of the reason in the world not to have the surgery; one of my best friends had a son-in-law that died on the table having this surgery one year ago. But his surgeon was not Dr. Bolar and I had faith that I had researched Dr. Bolar and his record well enough to know that he would take care of me and make sure that I made it through. I am 3 weeks post op and could not be doing better!! Best wishes for a quick and painless recovery!
