WARNING*****SAD ANGEL INCOMING*****This will be my last official post as Vickie's ANGEL as she is doing great and ready to take to posting on her own again! (sniff, sniff)She went for her 1 week post-op visit on friday and has lost 12#s(AWESOME GIRL) Way to start the ball rolling,eh? She is back to work and feeling great! I would like to take this opportunity to say that being Vickie's ANGEL has been a real Blessing to me. She is a terrific lady! (THANKS VICKIE!)**Bigmamafox**

*****ANGEL REPORTING***** HI AMOS FAMILY! Hope this finds all doing well! I wanted to let you know that I just talked with Vickie and she is amazing! She is still feeling great, no complications at all. She is down 8# after 5 days since her surgery. She is eating 2x a day and doing good. She is headed back to work in the morning!WOW! She is a school teacher and can sit most of the day.She says she's taking it easy and moving slow so as to prevent any problems.I am soooo proud of her!!(YOU GO GIRL!!)*Bigmamafox*

HEY ALL!****WARNING.....MOST SPECTACULAR ANGEL UPDATE AHEAD....***** You all will swear that I am full of it but I promise you that every word is the truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God! Just let me tell you.....Vickie left the hospital this morning at 10am and went to her grandmother's house for Thanksgiving. Well, people she actually ate! I mean solid food! I mean peas, potato salad, and mac&cheese! I (as well as her hubby*Dennis* almost had a heart attack!) Her Doc told her that if she felt like trying solid food to go ahead! And she did and had no problems! NONE! Not a one! She said she took tiny bites and chewed forever.She said she was full after only a few bites! SHE IS ONLY 2 DAYS POST-OP PEOPLE!! I told her she is a veritable miracle! I even ask her was she "SURE" that they did her surgery? LOL! I mean, hey, no pain, no leaks, no suffering, and eatin solids 2 days later......gotta make you wonder!!LOL! She gives God all the Glory! He is truly awesome! Oh yeah, she also weighed yesterday and had lost 11 lbs since day before.... WHAT? I thought you gained because of fluid! This gal needs to go into the WLS HALL OF FAME!!LOL! WAY TO DO IT VICKIE! **BIGMAMAFOX**

***ANGEL UPDATE*** HELLO EVERYONE!I am pleased to announce that Vickie went to a private room today.She passed her leak test with flying colors and was allowed apple juice and ice chips!!YUMMY!! She was up at 6am this morning walking laps!She says still no pain! YEAH! She had only used her "magic" button 8 times in 36 hours! Is that great or what! If all stays well, she will be on her way home in the morning! (after only 48hrs.)WOW What a Blessed Thanksgivig! ^j^ ANGEL UPDATE ^j^ Hello AMOS family!! Well, you are not going to believe this but I promise it is true!! I went to see Vickie in ICU (only there because of sleep apnea)She is laughing and feeling great. She said no pain!!(not even when she first woke up!) She had no tubes except cath. and iv. She didn't even look like she'd had suegery!!!! She said her only complaint was the dry mouth!HA! She had the LAP and has only mild discomfort. It was 7 hours after surgery and she had only used her morphine button twice and she said that was only to keep pain from coming! I am sooooo happy for her!(WAY TO GO VICK!!!) I was afraid of what I might find, that it might frighten me away from having it but to my shock, she did awesome!! I will be pleased if I do even half as well! I will post again later when i call to check up. She should be in room soon! Love u all!!Bigmamafox

Vicki, Hope all is well with your surgery! I know you will be sore for a few days and won't be on the computer for a while but I just wanted to wish you the best of luck! As I work in Troy, I have been following your story and I am very happy for you! God bless you!
