***Angel Update*** I just spoke to Saida and she is pretty out of it. She is in some pain, but has been able to get up and walk a bit. I will be calling her again tomorrow and will probably stop by to see her Thursday!

****Saida's Angel Update*** Well I just spent this morning with Saida at St Joe's Hopsital. She mad it through the IV insertion just fine. We did though have to remind her to breathe, poor thing is terrified of needles. They drew her blood and went over her allergies etc about a million times (better safe then sorry) she was also put on an IV fluid bag. About 11:00 the assistant Dr cam in and introduced himself, then the anestisiologist(probably spelled that wrong)then cam Dr Simpson himself. He made sure she had no questions, made hre smile and then the next thing you know she was being wheeled to the OR at 11:45am. Her only complaaint was the IV and being hungry :-) She was in great spirits and I know she will be great. As soon as I hear from either Dr Simpson or her cousinI will update everyone!

Saida--- Best Wishes today for a speedy and pain-free recovery!!I can't wait until all of us "losers" get together for the support group meeting! Take care and good luck!

Bismillah (In the name of Allah). May Allah bless you my sister to have a successful surgery. I have not talked to you in a while because I lost track from having my own surgery on April 19th. So far I have already lost 22 pounds!!! A-Hamdu-Li-llah (Praise Be To God) I prayed until they put me to sleep and I prayed when they woke me up...of course my prayer then was..."Oh Allah, help me handle this pain!!!" I will be praying the same prayer for you. I know you will do well and Allah will protect you and keep you safe. Insha'Allah (Be the will of God) we will both be 2 excited and healed sisters in faith and weight struggle. I look forward to attending Hajj when my body is healed completely. It will be a great to participate in all the activities without being in pain or lack of breath. I know you look forward to making salaat without struggling or sweating...I am so excited for you!!!!!! Take care my sister and I cannot wait to see you on the other side!!!!
