September 05th Dear Ginger: I'm so sorry that you've been experiencing such negativity concerning your weight; especially since you've been working so hard to make it go away. Anyway, a few weeks ago I was waiting for my truck to finish getting some repairs at the local Ford dealership; I was sitting on the floor working on some reports, when I felt someone staring at me; I looked up and this older man was staring at me! He then looked over to his wife/companion and said: "I can't wait to see how she gets off that floor!" Said it plain as day and very loudly. I was shocked and hurt and wanted to go over and say something nasty back; But, I decided to hold my tongue, realizing that the older man just wasn't worth my time/effort to educate. Please take care and know you have many friends here at Amos. Sincerely, Lori Ann

Hi Ginger.............when you are allowed solids then enjoy the cheese topping on the pizza and the chicken without the skin. If you are overcome and eat something that will make you dump, you won't ever try that again. Don't worry, you won't ruin your pouch with a dump but everyone within a 5 mile radius will hear you going to the bathroom. lol Soon you'll be able to enjoy your Friday night ritual with these modifications. I thought I couldn't handle eating tiny amounts but after eating a few bites I'm so stuffed it kinda even makes me sick to watch people eating in front of me. Be prepared to be sort of disgusted by seeing your family continue to eat while you are feeling very full. I didn't realize that would happen. I don't remember anyone writing about it on the message board. Also have GasX near by. If you get gas from certain meals, you get it with a vengence. I hope you continue to heal nicely and have a speedy recovery. God bless :)

Ginger, I'm not sure what your dietary restrictions are right now but early on I could eat the toppings off of a small slice of pizza and it was heavenly. As a postie, the chicken wings are great. I love them and have no problem eating them! Best of luck to you!

I just talked to GM, actually Im talking to her right now. She should be going home this afternoon WOOHOO. She sounds great very full of energy! She passed her leak test with flying colors, even gulped the barium! She had one minor nurse problem but dealt with that like a champ. So far shes had some chicken broth and was able to eat most of it. WELCOME TO THE OTHER SIDE GM!!!
