Hi Detta, and congrats on losing the weight you have lost already! Just think back prior to surgery, were you ever able to lose that much so quickly? I know I never could. Don't give up and be assured that early plateaus are common and you will lose more weight! I had an early plateau and from support I received from other here, I stuck it out and have since lost more weight. Everybody's story is a bit different and you are losing properly for your body! Every so often it seems our bodies stop the loss for a time while readjusting things on the inside. I'll bet you are losing inches however. If you haven't started keeping track of your measurements, may I suggest you do so today! I have kept track of my inches lost since the day prior to my original surgery and every month a girlfriend would come over and do my measurements. Every month I lost inches, even if the scales didn't show much weight loss. So keep up the great work, don't lose faith, and know that you are on the right track! HUGS to you!

Hi, D'Etta: I feel your loss (or lack there-of). I had surgery on 08/19 and have lost 40 pounds as of today. Have you been taking your measurements? Just when I think my weight loss is slow, I get out the measuring tape, and find I've lost more inches! I've lost over 28 total inches all over my body. Don't worry, sweetie, we all lose at our own pace. Just keep doing what you're doing, and it will come off. You're doing great!

I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK on your surgery. Take a deep breath, try to relax. Know that we all care about you and are wishing you the best. Think positive, it really does help. After surgery, remember to turn, cough, take deep breaths, and walk to prevent complications. Hold your incision when you cough, it helps it hurt less. Keep your profile updated, it may make a difference in the live of someone else. Smile, keep your chin up! And lastly, if your chin does fall, just remember, from this position it is easier to moon people! :) (Also, humor helps too!)
