Good luck on your surgery on Thursday... we are "twinkies" as I will be having my surgery the same day (July 26th). I had my consult with the surgeon last Friday, did all my pre-op stuff that day... was originally given a date of August 1st (I go to school full-time, so was trying to get in early)... Anyway... it got moved up. I am nervous too... even with all the preparation I have done! Tomorrow I will be on all liquids for the day, and will be driving 360 miles down to the hospital in Anchorage. Anyway take care and see you on the lighter side!

Hi Melissa, I just wanted to wish you the very best of luck on your upcoming surgery! We share a surgery date, so I know how emotional this roller coaster can be on our journey. Excited one minute - nervous and apprehensive the next! But in the end, I think we're all glad we took this step. My prayers will be with you.

Melissa - we share a surgery date so I imagine that your feelings might be similar to mine: scared and excited at the same time! May God guide your surgeons' hands. May you have a smooth and speedy recovery.
