I wanted to wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I hope that all goes well and that you are up and out and about real soon. I'll bet you are are doing a happy dance accompanied by a bundle of unwanted "NERVES", but don't worry be HAPPY! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Good Luck!

TARA - My WLS was Dec 15th and I am doing great, you will do great, too. Dr A is awesome - God Bless....

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

GOOD LUCK AND BEST WISHES ! YOU WILL DO GREAT AND WILL BE ON THE LOOSING SIDE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT. I WILL BE HAVING MY SURGERY ON 1-20-04 TOO, SO JUST KNOW YOU ARE NOT ALONE, AND THERE WILL BE SO MANY NEW ROADS FOR US TO TRAVEL ONCE WE HAVE HAD THIS SURGERY ! GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU SAFE. JENNIFER
