I talked to Paula this evening and she is finally out of ICU and into her own room. She is still hooked up to the catherder and IV/pain machine which she says is just wonderful. God Bless those drugs the first few days. She told me to let everyone know that she is so happy to be on the other side and is now taking it one step at a time. She has been dozing most of the day except when she has to do her walking.

I called Paula several times today. She is still waiting for her doctor to come in and see her so she can be moved over to the ward. It looks like she will probably spend another night in the ICU. She has been resting comfortably and has sat up on the side of the bed and been for a short walk. She is still hooked up to all of her machines. Hang in there Paula.

Paula was scheduled for surgery at 1:30 this afternoon. I called at 5:00 and she was still in surgery at that time. Don't know if she just had a late start or what. At 8:00 this evening she is in ICU and resting comfortably. The nurses only could tell me that she came through surgery with no complications. I will be talking to Paula or her husband tomorrow and will let everyone know how she is doing at that time. Keep praying for her.

Paula, I thought if you would like I would be your long distance angel. I am counting down the days right along side of you. It is a great feeling to finally be on the other side as so many others have said. I can't believe its so fast that I have gotten off of my meds and I'm praying that you will have the same speedy rate that I am having.
