Hi Robin. My name is Maura McKay and I was just reading your profile. I had my surgery the same day as Ruby. She and I met in the moderated chat room the friday before we had our surgery. I am really wondering how she is doing, and wondered if you have talked to her. I've posted on her surgery page but haven't heard from her. I think you have a wonderful story, and would like to hear how you are doing and how your weight loss is going. I was down 14 lbs. in 9 days when I went to get my staples out. It's great to be a postie, isn't it. Love and Hugs, looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Again Everyone! I just talked to Robin again and she is doing FANTASTIC!! She hopes to get released from the hospital sometime tomorrow (Monday, 2/18) She said that she's been walking the halls and doing her breathing treatments. WAY TO GO ROBIN!!

Hello Again Everyone! I just got off the phone with Robin and she sounds WONDERFUL! She seemed to be in a very good mood, especially considering that she just went through NOT 1, but 2 major operations (WLS & Gall Bladder). She said that she experienced quite a bit of pain last night, but it was right after surgery. She says that she's feeling much BETTER today! She also said that she could "feel" all of our prayers, because she didn't feel the slight bit of nervousness going into her surgery. The power of prayer is remarkable! Of course, she probably won't even remember talking to me since she's on a morphine pump that administers meds to her every 8 minutes...LOL. I'll continue to update and post as I get information! Hello Again Everyone! I just got off the telephone with Robin's husband, Ray and he said that Robin is in recovery and everything went great! WaaaaHHhhhooooo!!! I was worried about her because I thought she went into surgery at 11:30 a.m., but Ray said they didn't take her back until a little after 2 p.m. and it's 6:30 p.m. NOW! Thank you God for watching over our precious friend Robin and her family!!!! I'll post more as I get more info! :-) (fun1_gal)

Hi Robin, Best of luck to you on your upcoming surgery!! I remember how happy, nervous, scared and excited I was just before mine. It is the best thing u can do for yourself, it is hard in the beginning but you'll do GREAT! You're in my thoughts and prayers.
