Hi Linda- I have found the 'window' for losing to be much longer than the 6 mos you heard. I am one year post op and still losing. You gotta work the tool, girl! For me, after 6 mos, it slowed doen, but I am still losing. And returning to the basics-protein only- jumpstarted the weight loss again. I am committed to maximizing my 'window' of 18-24 mos to lose all my excess weight. Good luck!

Hi Linda- I am 11 weeks post op and I was told that " the window of opportunity" is 18 months to 24 months. This was from the information seminar that I attended and also from my surgeon. I have also heard this from other patients. I think maybe the 6 month thing could be a mistake. I know one guy who is more than 6 months post op and he has lost over 100 pounds and is still losing. Hang in there.

Hi Linda, I am 7 months now, and have loss 110 lbs. I am still losing but a little slower. I just continue to do what Im suppose to do and when needed change the program alittle, by uping the water and proteins, and exercise. other than that that's all can do. ~*~Hugs~*~

Hi, Linda: I just wanted to say thank you for your excellent idea of sending a thank you note to the insurance company. I'm sure many times they don't hear positive feedback, only the negative from people who have been denied. I'm definitely gonna send one after surgery (08/19/03 lap rny). Good luck on the rest of your journey!

in response to your question about the vitiamin I have found that a childrens chewable works better and is easier to use.. You can purchase them from Sams club for around 10 a bottle for 300 ... they have been working great.. so u might want to try this ..

Linda, Well Nancy Jo has told me so much about you so I feel like I know you too. Haope you're life is everything you hoped and prayed for and thank you for your postings also. My surgery is Tuesday and I'm anxious to be on the losing side like you!!

Hi Linda - you are my SOUL sister! I miss COKE SO BAD! I would give up sex for a month for some ice cold coke, not diet just regular old coke! I have had a couple bites of my son's coke slurpee, but not too much as I am afraid to dump! Hang in there sweet pea, you can do it!
