JOANN~~just keep putting one foot in front of the other and taking your life day by day. There's a brighter tomorrow that's just down the road. Don't look back.... you're not going that way!

Joann, Good luck as you find your way through the journey of getting WLS. Take your time, find a good surgeon that you trust, and explore all your options in terms of which type of surgery is right for you. Do all your homework and feel comfortable with your decisions and it will be the best thing you can do for yourself. Be educated though, so that you can help yourself do all the right things and heal up well. {{{HUGS}}}

Hi Joann, My story is pretty close to yours. I am wavering back & forth because I have heard all of the horror stories. I try to be positive but I am grieving the process already. I hope it is everything you want it to be and more. Best wishes on your journey to the loosing side. God Bless, with Jesus on your side how can one lose?! This I want to believe. Carmen

Hi Joann, Well you certainly are the brave one. I'm so glad you made the decision to talk to a surgeon and attend the seminar. I believe that you will not regret taking these steps, no matter what you decide in the future. I first timidly mentioned surgery to my doctor 2 years ago and did not argue when he wanted to try other avenues first. Then, almost a year later and many pills and failed diets later, I was not so timid and I was glad when he agreed to help me investigate surgery. I am 9.5 weeks out and have not regretted it once, not even right out of surgery when I wasn't feeling so hot. It was all uphill after that. I hope you will feel the same way. Good luck in your journey.

Joann, Congratulations on making this decision to move forward with this life saving surgery. Who knows what gets any of us to the point of morbid obesity. I had my surgery on May 12 nd I spent a great deal of time thinking about my disappointment in arriving at this point. Good luck to you and I will look forward to hearing your updates. Lynda
