Sandy, I have not had WLS yet, but what you are describing is exacatly what both my mon & I have gone through with our hysterectomies. It seemed to take me a good 6 weeks to really be able to get any kind of energy, or ability to concentrate back. Same thing for my mom. Neither of us could even just spend time on the computer because of an inability to concentrate. I would guess this is a fairly normal reaction from anesthisa. What seemed to help a bit for me was to get a counted cross stitch embroidery project and work on that while the tv was on. Gave me something to do, and seemed to help with my frustration level some. Good Luck, and give it some more time, I bet you will soon be feeling back to normal. Tami

Just wanted everyone to know that Sandy is doing wonderfully!!!! I have just left the hospital from visiting with her, and she is up walking around, talking with everyone, and looking great!!! All this and only 12 hours post op!!! I am not her official angel, but, have become good friends with her, thanks to this site. Providing no changes thru the night, she should be home bright and early tomorrow morning. God is good!!!
