Jennifer is feeling great (or almost great). She only stayed in hospital 2nd time overnight. She's keeping liquids down and has graduated to light cream soups. I'm sure she'll update for herself next time.

Well Jennifer was released from the hospital Sunday 8/15 and she was readmitted today 8/17. She went to her hotel with a prescription for pain meds. Every time she took them she got sick. So she was losing not only the meds but all her fluids. She saw Dr. Warden and he said she was severely dehydrated and put her back in the hospital. Hopefully she'll manage to keep her meds down and get in enough fluids. She can get out as soon as she rehydrates and stays that way. I'll keep everyone posted. Judy

Jennifer, I'm sure each day you will begin to feel stronger and fitter. I'm pre-op, but I know that you will be fine. I'm here on the Westbank and will be following your progress. I hope you make it home from the hospital quickly. Good Luck!

Hi everyone. I'm Jennifer's Angel and I was at the hospital today for her surgery. She's in her room and doing well. She's in pain but that's to be expected. She's also having a little trouble breathing deeply, but they're working on that. Dr. Warden said everything went textbook- exactly as planned. She's at Lakeview Hospital in Covington, LA. The phone number is (985)867-4318 if you're local and would like to call. She'll be in the hospital until at least Saturday. As it turns out she does have a family member with her, her mother-in-law. Jennifer....good luck tomorrow. Although you won't need "luck" because you'll be in all our prayers tomorrow. As the Allstate commercial says, "You're in good hands". San Angelo, huh. I attended Trinity Lutheran church and school there when I was in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. WOW. That would have been like the early '60s. Criminy... am I really THAT old!?! As grandpa' used to say, "I'm so old....that in Doggie Years...I'm dead!" Hope you have a successful procedure. I, too, am scheduled for Lap DS with Dr. Smith in the Atlanta area on August 31st. Like everyone else I've read on here....I can't wait and I'm nervous at the same time. :-) Mike
