Andrija, I never thought I'd ever walk to anywhere. I started very slowa little more each day or each week. Don't push yourself to far. because it will cause you great pain and dislike for exercise. I couldn't even go to the drive way without breathing hard and feeling faint. now I walk 2 to 3 miles a day. It's just so amazing. Take care hon**Hugs**

Andrija Hello~~~sorry about your trip to the ER, but glad that you didn't waste any time in getting there to see what the problem was!! Happy to hear that you are feeling much better today. I know it hard, but try and get in the water. Please keep on posting and let us know how you are doing. Wishing you all the very best and may all your dreams come true.

~*~(From my heart to yours)I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.(unknown author)~*~Hugs~*~

Hi Andrija, depression is very common after this surgery and a weight gain before your period is too. Relax, and try to get in all your water and as much food as you are supposed to and things will get better. And get rid of that scale!! lol I drove myself crazy after surgery getting on it so often. I cut back to once a week and now, at 7 months out I only weigh once a month on the anniversary of my surgery. I'm always pleasantly surprised at the additional loss!! BIGGHUGGZZZZ

Hey Andrija ~ This is a learning process, eh? It's scary to start those new foods right now. If you continue to have this problem I would definately contact the surgeon's office. Have you tried pureed soups? I don't know how I will handle this when my day comes but I know that soups will be right up at the top of my list. If you have a good tastless protein powder try adding in a pinch at first and work your way up. This will take time. Make sure that you are chewing well and waiting at least 2 minutes in between bites. USE A TIMER!! It's amazing how long 2 minutes can be. I have several friends who have recently had surgery and they have had to do these things. Good luck to you and keep your chin up!

Hi Andrija :) I just read your post in the message board and am very worried about you. What you are experiencing doesn't sound like dumping. Rather, it sounds like you are simply having a hard time getting things down which happens to the great majority of us early out. It is, however, VERY important that you get something in you calorie and nutrition-wise unless you want to get very very sick. Please follow up with your surgeon immediately (don't worry about calling him over the weekend - he's paid well and dealing with calls is part of his (or her) responsibilities) about figuring out a way for you to get in more. It could be that you will NEED to do protein shakes or meal replacement shakes until you are able to start adding in and tolerating soft foods. Hope you'll keep us all posted :) (pun intended :) Caroline (5 months post-op and -97 lbs)
