Surgery rescheduled for June 7th

I was supposed to have my gastric sleeve surgery Thursday May 19th. I found out on Tuesday afternoon that it was going to be rescheduled.I was so mad and frustrated and sad at the same time. I felt defeated. My surgeon gave me good reasons as to why it had to be rescheduled. I have dealt with pancreatitis for over the past year. At the end of March I had an ERCP done and they cut the spchiniter tube on the pancreas to allow the enzymes to flow easier. My tubes were very small and narrow and they think that is what was causing my reoccurant pancreatitis flareups. Well I had a pretty bad attack of pancreatitis from the surgery. My G.I. surgeon gave me the all clear to proceed with the weight loss surgery. But on Tuesday my bariatric surgeon decided we needed to wait longer before proceeding with the surgery.
I tried to fight him on it and did and said everything I could think of to try to convince him otherwise. He wouldn't budge. I know that he is looking out for my best interests and wants to push the surgery back so my pancreas has more time to heal and settle down before surgery. He said we needed to wait a full two months before surgery.
So now I am playing the waiting game. He said I can relax on the diet I had been on for the past week which consisted of a liquid protein drink for breakfast and lunch and then a lean cuisine for dinner. It was a very hard week and it was even harder finding out that it was kind of all for nothing since surgery got dealed. I am supposed to resume the diet a week before surgery and follow up with the clinic and have a weight check done. It was a very emotionally draining week.
My younger sister who is a nurse came out for what was supposed to be my surgery. She lives in another state. It was a huge bummer with my surgery being rescheduled. She really wanted to be here for me during and after my surgery. Unfortunately she will not be able to make it out for the next surgery date.
