Hello all - I just wanted to post this on Carmen's surgery page - I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Carmen last weekend in Chicago - She is really an inspiration to many WLS people! Carmen has lost an incredible 186# in the last year. She has gone from a person who's biggest part of the day was to go from the bed to the couch. She now plays the mother of the bride in the Chicago Tony and Tina's Wedding production! She is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside - I am the proudest angel! hey congratulations Carmen i saw tony and tina's weddingin Buffalo NY last year it was a hoot, that is great good luck and break a leg. i still don't understand the whole break a leg thing. God Bless Sue

Hi all...I went to see Carmen last night and she is doing great...almost off the morphine and was up walking twice yesterday - 1 day post op - Doc thinks she can go home Saturday! Hey Carmen - well you did it...now get ready for the time of your life...1 quick year from now your boobs will be at your waist...your thighs will flutter in the wind and don't wave your arms in public you could knock someone over if they get too close to those batwings! I just talked to Carmen she had surgery at 8am and is now in her room - I can't believe it! She sounded groggy, but good. She is one tough lady! Everything went fine and she is now on the other side with all us losers! Congratulations Carmen - you did it honey!!!!!! Life is just beginning now! I love you and am so proud!

Angel Reporting - Carmen is in surgery as we speak. I will be talking to her room mate Chuck when she gets out of surgery. I did talk to her on the phone last night - she seemed pretty calm. She was so ready for this! Thanks for all the wonderful support! Jennifer
