Hi Billie. I bet that your son feels pretty special getting moms candy bar. lol I was looking over the reviews of the Detour bar and saw your thoughts. Thanks for the review. It helped me and I'm sure several others. My thoughts are with you as you travel through your journey to your goal. Carol

I am also having surgery on 5/21/03. I wanted you to know that you are not alone on that day, and I will say a prayer for you. We will go to the losing side togather and rely on God to keep us in his hand.

Billie, don't worry -- it's totally normal! I ate everything in sight for about a week prior to surgery, and then somehow, weighed in at 3 lbs LIGHTER on surgery day. LOL (Go figure!) Not to worry. The good news? I'm less than 4 weeks out and eating most of my favorite foods again, just in tiny portions. So, don't panic (especially as a new post-op, like I did) and think that you'll never taste normal food again. You will before you know it! :) Much luck to you in the weeks ahead. ~ Susan (p.s.
