~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs~*~

Diane, thank you for sharing your experience. I am waiting for my date, as i am approved. I read the boards daily, to learn everything I can. By reading your pot, I have just learned more. How scary that must have been. Take it slow, and i wish you the very best. Again, I thank you!!

Diane, Maybe you can cut your meats up very small before you eat it. I find that when I put my meats into the crook pot to cook. I can eat it better without to much worry. it's so tender a new born can eat it. LOL Please be very careful it scares me even when you were telling it. take care girlie. ~*~Pizza out~*~

Diane--You must be careful. I was also not allowed to have solids for 6 weeks post-op. I dont think it is a good idea to rush into solids just yet. just give it time. liquify things in a blender. Try moist scrambled eggs, cottage cheese (fat free or low fat) low fat string cheese maybe, even egg salad. Beef is one of the last things most post-ops try. I have not tried it yet. Good luck!!! Hi When I was 2.5 weeks out my doctor had me on liquds ONLY! Starting my third week I could have turkey, lean ham and tuna ONLY IF IT WAS PUT THROUGH THE FOOD PROCESSOR FIRST!!! Scrambled eggs were OK at this point too. I didn't get to eat reg food until I was 5 weeks out. Even then he cautioned me about beef --- because as you now know -- it is unforgiving! I had my first bite of steak last week -- at15 weeks out and had no problem. Hope this helps. Good luck to you:)

My prayers will be with you as you go through the surgery and recovery. May your strength be restored; your recovery be swift and your tender heart be renewed.

I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK on your surgery. Take a deep breath, try to relax. Know that we all care about you and are wishing you the best. Think positive, it really does help. After surgery, REMEMBER, turn, cough, take deep breaths, and walk to prevent complications. Hold your incision when you cough, it helps it hurt less. Keep your profile updated, it may make a difference in the live of someone else. Smile, keep your chin up! And lastly, if your chin does fall, just remember, from this position it is easier to moon people! :) (Also, humor helps too!)
