Happy 5 month Anniversary fellow 10/31/03er! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. RNY 10/31/03 down 81 pounds today!!! Who would have thought we could have come this far in such a short period of time!!!

Trish, I read your question on the message board and thought I might comment. I was 110 pounds overweight also. My open RNY was on June 5, 2002 and I have lost between 64 and 66 pounds, it fluctuates day to day. According to the BMI calculator on this sight, I am in the normal range for 5 months out. Hope this helps.

Trish, as another "lightweight" I'd say that you can certainly lose all your weight in 6-12 months if you stick with your eating plan and exercise. Particularly if you are very strict within your first 6 months. However, don't expect to have the weight just fall off of you in as fast as it would with someone who has a lot more to lose. You can expect to lose slower and plateau more often. Don't be discouraged, just stick with your plan and all will be well! Best wishes to you!
