Hi Edith, I read your posting and your horror story with Baystate is very common which is unfortunate. This is what happens when they get too much in demand they tend to lose the most important aspect of the business. Value your customers, and that quality is more important then quantity. Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

Christie- I just wanted to say Good Luck tomorrow! I had my RNY on 11/20/03 and believe me I was scared to death.... but I knew it was something I had to do for myself. You will be just fine. My prayers are with you for an uneventful surgery and a speedy painfree recovery.
