Hollye - Hugs are being sent your way. I hope you are feeling better today. I didn't feel like my old self until 5 weeks post op. I was so tired, miserable, and unhappy until then. Hang in there.

Hollye, You just had major surgery, all you have mention goes with the program. No, it's not easy to deal with. But you have to ride the bull. and grit your teeth and deal with it. and as days pass it does get better.I had pain, pain, pain, stomach spasms, side pain, back pain, leg cramps, head aches, etc. and I also noticed if you are constapated you will surly have stomach pain big time. I vomited most of the time also. I even was gaging off little of nothing. I slept big tme, and was very weak. I even had black circles around my eyes. If you are not eating right you will stay this way longer. Try to get that protein in. This will make you stronger and will heal you faster. Do what your Doc said to do. The worse thing you can do is stress yourself out. THINK POSITIVE, Put the negitive thoughts out your head. You are worried about the what ifs. and you are driving yourself crazy. Take a chill pill and worry about healing. If you really think something is not right, Then don't hesitate and go to your doctors. Take care ~*~Hugs~*~

Hollye, please don't be so stressed. I just wanted to let you know that I had clots form in my lungs and YES you can feel pain from them. I had to have a vena cava filter put in to prevent any larger clots from passing into my lungs. My inscision site open too and had to be packed until it healed. Feeling bad in general is expected. Its hard to get comfy and rest after surgery. You aren't eating like normal and nauseated when you do eat. I know I was TIRED for the first 6 weeks and slept alot. But if you feel there is something amiss, don't hesitiate to go to your Dr. It was hard the first few weeks. I am now 11 weeks and feel great, eat almost normal foods (just less of it). I have no desire to eat junk. I started back on my walking routine at 3 weeks and that helped too. I think it helped get me back to doing things. Hope you feel better soon. Jamie (post op 11 weeks and down 60 lbs).

HI Hollye. You have such a pretty name! Congratulations and a speedy recovery to you!! Remember to get your walking in, even though it hurts, sip that water, and keep a positive attitude!! No matter how you feel, just know the next day you will feel even better, and even stronger! ((((((HUGS))))))

I wanted to let everyone know that Hollye's surgery went REALLY well!! There were no unexpeted "emergencies" and it didn't take as long as anticipated. She however did not have a very good day/night. She was having stomach spasms and was in a tremendous amount of pain. They upped her pain medication and gave her a muscle relaxer and today she is doing MUCH better!! She was up walking around and has taken a "sponge bath".

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.
