Hi Kari, I had my surgery on May 26th 2005 and have lost 150 lbs. I am 5'2 and starting wt. was 303. I wish you the best of luck in your new adventure and my prayers are with you. If you'd like to e-mail me, please feel free to do so. I must tell you, it was an admazing trip for me and I would do it again in a heart beat. I'm the nervous type, so I was exspecting the worst. Well before surgery I was taking around 8 different meds and when I left the hospital I was on one. The little purple pill (nexium) for acid reflux. Just remember this is just a tool (the surgery) and you need to work on it everyday. It is a new way of life and a much healthier one at that. So take care and remember you are not alone, you have a support team on here and I'm sure you'll get thru it just fine. Remember two important things (for me anyway) chew chew chew chew and drink drink drink.. Just not at the same time. God Luck and keep in touch. Carol 303/247/153 lbs.
