This Update from Jeff came in last night: Hey guys. Karen wanted me to email you again tonight and let you know that she is doing great. she took 5 really good walks today. walking is the most important thing you can do after this surgery. I am sure she will tell you all about what you will be facing. she is still having some pain issues. not so much pain, but more being uncomfortable. she ate her first food today. a little jello. she had no problem keeping it down. so that is good. Anyway, she is hoping to be home tomorrow. i personally think it will be a few more days at the hospital. Anyway, hope you all are doing good and Karen is really looking forward to talking with you soon.

As Karen's Angel - I have an update from her husband! Hello to all. Karen wanted me to email you all and let you know that she is doing just great. The surgery went really good and the doctors said that it went perfect. She is in her room recovering. She is in a lot of pain right now, but the more she gets up and moves around the better she will get. She has taken her first walk since the surgery and i must say that i am very proud of her. They told her most people on their first walk don't even make it to door of the room. Well let me tell you, she not only made it to the door she walked right out of the room and to the elavators just outside the room. the nurses were impressed, but to be honest i think she was trying to make a run for it. LOL. Anyway, she is doing great and will be in touch with you all in the next couple of days. Please let me know if any of you have any questions. I will answer them to the best of my ability. Now if you will allow me I would like to personally thank each and everyone of you for you toughts and prayers today. It is good to know that my wife has so many caring friends. I can never thank you all enough for being so supportive. Thank you all. Love karen and jeff (Unfortunately this is a day late, so we should see Karen soon!)
