Hi Bethann! Happy (belated) 2-yr WLS Anniversary to you! Just wondering how you're doing lately??? I too have been a very slow loser & I started out w/ a BMI of 54.8. So after looking over your profile, I was just curious to hear how you're doing now. I hope all is well & I wish you the best! Take care... I visited with Bethann this evening and she looked so wonderful! There have been a few "technical difficulties" with her nursing care, but despite this she was doing well. We walked together and she walked more, as I chatted with a couple of Dr Snyder's other patients and I was so impressed with her level of motivation. Her husband and children are still in Washington, but should be so very proud of her for the courage she has shown and the commitment she has to change her life!! She shared photos of her family and misses them, so I was all the more honored to have been able to share the evening with her, when I know her heart was home with them! It is funny how this surgery can bring perfect strangers together and after a very short while, they seem like old friends. Keep up the great work new friend!!! I am so proud of you!!!!

Good news about Bethann.. Her surgery was yesterday afternoon and all went well. She got her NG tube out today and she has been walking, walking, walking!!!! She is from Washington state, about sea level and here in Denver the air is pretty thin so she is on oxygen, but I do think it is more the elevation than anything seriously wrong. She sounded so strong today, and I am so proud of her!! I will be going to visit tomorrow and will print her card before I go. Any words of encouragement will be greatly welcomed! I will post again tomorrow and let you all know how the patient is doing!!!!! :o) Signing off...Lu
