Maryellen: I'm having surgery the same day as you and I just wanted to say that I'll meet you on the losing side. You reach a point when you realize that there aren't many options left and you have to do what is going to save your life in the long run, so chin up and I'll post you after surgery to see how you made out...Angie

Dear Maryellen - GOOD LUCK on your surgery too! If we are not roomies - we are sure to be on the same floor! I'll look for you and you look for me. My husband had this surgery on Aug 2nd, 2004, and is doing GREAT! Dr. Abkin and Dr. Bertha really know what they are doing. The hospital and staff are great too. Two of the nurses that I met in the recovery room are WLS sucesses of the Dr's too! We are on our way to a new healthy life! All the best, Sherri
