Mischelle, I am glad you are doing better. It sure sounds like you went through a lot! In your profile you said you feel like a hobo because your clothes are too big...hmmmm, maybe a little retail therapy is in order! (shopping!)

Mischelle came home on Saturday (2/22/03). She is doing, feeling and looking much better now. She is still on the TPN (IV nutrition feeding) and still has the drain from her spleen in. But overall, she has improved so much. She is hoping to get in to see the Dr. on this Friday and hopefully he will take her off the TPN and allow her to eat again. Just wanted to let everyone know that she is now home. Hopefully, she will be feeling up to posting soon!

Mischelle, I am SO SORRY to hear that you have had such a hard time! I am not sure if you remember me, but we talked to each other pre- op...we share the same surgery date. Anyway, you are in my thoughts and prayers! PLEASE email me when you come home! I am here for you if you need someone to talk to!! God Bless!!

She is still in the hospital recouping from the infected spleen ordeal. She has been in there since last Friday (one week tomorrow). They have kept her on the TPN (IV nutrition) because they think she still has a "pinhole" leak. I think now they are just being really, really cautious because all that she has been through. But really, she is doing good. She is up and about and she says that she feels a lot better now that they have gotten all the infection out of her. She is really ancy to go home though. I would be climbing the walls if I had to spend as much time in the hospital as she has. Tomorrow is her one month post-op date of her actual RNY surgery. She has been in the hospital all but a week of that time.

Hi Mischelle. You hang in there! This rough road you've been traveling is coming to an end, and you've conquered it all. No more bumps in the road, just smooth sailing from here on, ok? Will look forward to the next update saying all is good and you're home to stay!
