Hi! I just spoke with Melissa and not only does she SOUND great.. she's doing absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! :) She started her walking last night, and has made several trips around the floor today as well, she passed her Leak Test this morning with flying colors and is loving jello! Her pain is minimal, under control with the pain meds.. and the best part is, she's coming home tomorrow!! Way to go, Melissa!! I, along with everyone else, am so happy for you!! Now your on the "other" side to the new you!!! :)

As you'll know we'll miss seeing each other unless I can just come to visit and explain to Ivy about my home health care coming to help me. Hoping you're still improving and pain is less for you. Keep those staple areas washed and clean!!!

Hi everyone! I spoke with Melissa this afternoon and after actually over-sleeping this morning and getting to the Hospital late, she is finally on the "other" side!!! :) *HAPPY DANCE!!!* She's doing okay right now.. she's in a lot of pain. The pain pump isn't all that helpful, she informed me. She said the surgery lasted about 3 hours.. she remembers being in the Operating Room and the next thing she knew, she was in Recovery. She also said her throat is very dry.. I'm assuming from the tube being in there during the procedure. I'm going to talk with her again tomorrow so I'll post after that conversation! CONGRATULATIONS MELISSA!!! I'm so proud of you!!! Deena :)
