Hi Mary, I read your Q&A post today about swelling. I have the same problem . Sorry I don't have a answer. I've never had problems with swelling in my feet, ankles or legs before surgery. Now I do everyday. I've been to the primary dr, and my surgeon. 3 times with the same problem. But have come back with no answer to what I need to do. At first my primary dr wouldn't give me no water pills because of the size of my new stomach and how it absorbs things. He said elevate them. I must say it did help alittle. and at night they go down. but come daytime they will swell again. also sitting to long in one place is not good. The third time I complained he did give me a small doseage of water pills, and said not to take them everyday, only as needed. I do, but they still swell. They look like ham hocks, large ones. lol take care

Best wishes on your upcoming surgery. We both wish you all the luck in the world with your recovery too. We BOTH had open rny's in 2001. Mine (Doug, aka: OLD RODEO CLOWN PANTS) was in Oct and I have lost 215 lbs. My sweet wife, Nancy, had her surgery in June and she has lost 110 lbs. We both invite you to read our profiles and hope that maybe you can get some inspiration from them, but NO PROMISES!!!! Just remember that YOU WILL SUCCEED!!!!! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOU CANNOT FAIL. From: Doug and Nancy, La Mesa, CA!

I had to laugh reading through your "lists" ... definitely can relate. Good luck on the 21st! The first day of Spring carrys that "thing" of renewal, so what a perfect day for you to start this journey. Hold onto positive thoughts and go ahead ... be selfish in that, this day is all about being good to you. (.. and don't think about your Mom)
