Laruie, I live near Ft. Lewis and McChord AFB WA, and we have many military people in our support group who have gone through Tri-Care with virtually NO problems at all. I would encourage your friend to pursue this avenue. Good luck to her!

Hi again Laurie :) As another possibility, have you ruled out lactose intolerance? Some of the symptoms you describe (especially having problems right after eating) sounds like lactose intolerance to me... But then again, I'd think you'd have problems with the cheese if that were it... In any event, DO follow up with your Dr. just to be on the safe side. Oh, and so so sorry about your having to put your dog to sleep. It is so painful when we lose them...

Hi Laurie :) I just read your post rg your concerns about possible gallbladder problems (and the symptoms not being there now). I had this exact same experience right before the 4th of July. So much, in fact, that my surgeon had me go for an abdominal ultrasound to rule out anything going on with my gallbladder, liver, etc. (my pain was also in my right side, just under my breast - right where the gallbladder is.) Well, the tests showed normal, and the surgeon felt the mystery pain was due to severe constipation which was definately an issue at the time to say the least... But I also find the last poster's comment about diverticulosis interesting because I was diagnosed with that following a colonoscopy a month prior to my surgery. My surgeon didn't know to much about diverticulosis, but said that it was possibly related... Do follow up with your surgeon just to be on the safe side!

HI Laurie, I just read your post. It sounds like It "could" be diverticuloses (SP) I have had pain in my lower right quadrant that feels like I'm being stabbed. you should see a gastro doc, he'll need to do a simple test. Good luck!!

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Hello. I had lap RNY on Feb 28th. I have lost 66 pounds as of today. I, too, wish I was losing faster. You are a good deal lighter than I am so I think you are doing GREAT! I am glad you are feeling better and your energy has increased. I think my energy will pick up if I excercise regularly. Best of luck to you.
