Nick's surgery went very well on Tuesday, Aug. 17. Dr. DeWitt was able to do it laproscopic...and we were impressed! Because of high blood pressure issues, he went straight to ICU where he stayed for two days. This is only because his pre-existing hbp was not regulated very well prior to surgery. Once his bp was under control, he was sent to a regular room. He experienced no nausia, and very little pain after leaving ICU. He had started walking while he was in ICU. (doing great at it also!) After 4 days in Birmingham, AL hospital, we are home, and adjusting. We look forward to this new journey. We thank YOU ALL for your prayers...they have been answered, and we pray for continued improvement, and an easy post-op recovery. Do remember to thank our Lord for answered prayers, this is most important! Thank you for your support, encouragement, and well-wishes. May God bless you all in your journey. Amen.

Nick, I hope things went well for you. I said a prayer for you during my quiet time this morning as God reminded me of your surgery a couple of days ago. Do not get discouraged! Honey, I adore you, and I need and love you more & more as each new day arrives. Today, we embark on a journey together...I am with you, and I will stand beside you, hold your hand, walk with you, and rejoice in the new beginning that God is giving you. I am so very proud of you! I know that this was a tough decision, and you have been scared and worried. We have prayed together each night for many, many nights, God will take care of you...he is with you, he will stand beside you, hold your hand, walk with you and rejoice in your new beginning. I said a prayer for you today, and know God must have heard, I felt the answer in my heart, although He spoke no word, I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures of, a more loving lasting kind, I asked Him to send you blessings at the start of your new day, To grant you love and health, and to guide the surgeon's way, I asked for you to recover fast, and to become thin and small, But it was for His loving care, I prayed for most of all!
