Surgery is scheduled

I received a call from my doctors office, RNY surgery is scheduled for July 21.  I am told that I have to do a 7 day liquid only fast...I would like to get feedback from everyone who has gone through this...I fear I wont even be able to make it through 1 day of liquid fasting...much less 7...does anyone have any advice?
