I experience excruciating pain when I have a BM...there is lots of gas.

I take zantac and phenegren. I had open RNY on the 14th. Please, God in Heaven, tell me this pain will go away. Is there any thing I could do to help less the pain? Diet, chewing, eating too fast/slow, anything would help. I almost would rather not eat than have BMs this painful. I called the doc on call, and he said this is rather normal so soon after surgery and just suggested I go back on liquid diet (actually I suggested it in the conversation). I will go see my reg doc on Tuesday (but will call him tomorrow). But in the meantime, I was hoping to draw on everyone's experience with this. Everything else has been great...hardly no pain...nothing, just this gas and painful BMs. Thanks.
