Shin Splints in Chest area?

This might be a strange question, but can a person get what is called "shin-splints" in your chest? I am 3 weeks post-op, have had "no" problems at all, until now.... and this is not really a problem, more like a "bother". Up above my suture line, right on my breast bone, I have started experiencing little needle stinging like things. Not a pain at all, just a little prickly feeling. Has anyone else had this? It started just "after" I had visited with my Dr. (go figure) and he said everything looked perfect! I don't know what this is or why it has just started....could it just be the muscle inside tightening back up from surgery? I know we are not medical professionals here, but I would love to here ya'll opinion on this!! Thanks in advance! Love and Light,
