Burning, sharp pain on my right side, 3 weeks out.

It's been 3 weeks since my laprascopic RNY surgery, and I still have intense pain on my right side. About one week after surgery, I felt a "pull" while getting out of bed, and the pain started then. It is not at the incision site, but seems to be deeper. The pain seems to get a little better, and then WHAM!!! I have a down day like today. I feel like I have to hold my side and apply pressure to help with the pain. Could I have herniated something? I'm seeing my surgeon next week, but I wanted to know if anyone else out there had this experience. I was hoping to get back to work soon, but I can't like this. Any Ideas????
