What kind of cold medicine is safe for Gastric Bypass patients?

I'm 2 months out. I'm sick for the first time since surgery. What kind of cold medicine is alright for me to take? I have all the awful symptoms, sore throat, cough, stuffy head, headache. If anyone knows of a specific brand, please let me know! Thanks!
