pain in middle right below ribcage

I had gastric by-pass surgery on April 12, 2010 and my gallbladder out Dec 2010 so my question is... I have pain right below my sternum and straight in and it comes and goes. Sometimes I can go several days without pain. It can come at any time, walking, sitting, laying on my side. It lasts for about 5 mins and then is gone. If I push in on my upper stomach, below my ribcage in the middle, it helps with the pain! My daughter says it is a hernia. Plus I have been having backaches between my shoulderblades too...and I start to feel burning just before the really bad pain hits!!!
